Current Events

Thank you to all who volunteered and/or helped with any campaign.  Thanks to all who voted!!  Congratulations to Barack Obama / Joe Biden, Steve Kagen, Dave Hansen, and Jim Holperin.  Unfortunately, our assembly candidates will not be headed to Madison; these well qualified men put up an excellent fight, and we are so proud of their efforts.  Thank you for your dedication -- Randy Koehn, John Powers, and Stan Gruszynski.

Welcome to the Oconto County Democratic Party Website

We are the fastest growing Democratic Party in the state.  We were awarded the county with the greatest membership growth for 2007.  Yes, in Oconto County there is a growing and exciting Democratic party. We reorganized starting over two years ago.  No longer will you access this site and wonder does anyone even use this site?  We will work hard to keep you up on meeting times locations of events.  So keep checking us out see what we are doing.   We need your input; we are nothing without you. 

Please try to attend a meeting and see how your local county party works.  Your county party is the grassroots level. Get involved; it's not just candidates, it's issues.  We welcome Progressives, Moderates, Conservatives.  Our issues are your issues:  Women's Rights, Healthcare, Iraq, Labor Issues, Education, Environment, and Immigration -- these are just a few of the issues you will be able to add you voice to.  We are all volunteers at your county party; we are here because we believe it's important work.  We want to hear from you. This where we get some of our best ideas.
